Which Action Hero are You?

I took a photo of myself with the cheap little digital camera I keep in my purse and Andy Warhol'd it, trying my best for a dead serious "action hero" look. hmmm. Maybe I need a Indiana Jones hat from Blackwater, two .45's and a whip. In any event, I have to work late, and just have time for a short break and a quiz for you tonight.

Which Action Hero Would You Be?

You Scored as Lara Croft

A thrill-seeking, slightly unscrupulous, tough-as-nails archaeologist, Lara Croft travels the world in search of ancient relics perhaps better left hidden. She packs two Colt .45s and has no fear of jumping off buildings, exploring creepy tombs, or taking on evil meglomaniacs bent on world domination.

Which action hero are you? I'm thinking Jay G. will be William Wallace. Borepatch? - Captain Jack Sparrow. Ahab and possibly RobD - the Amazing Spider Man. Carteach? - the Dark Night.

  4. You know, Lara Croft may be scary-accurate. Heh.

My favorite Captain Jack Sparrow quote:

"Um, no. I'm not that kind of pirate. I have a ship."

I could see Jay as William Wallace, though ...

Actually, mine is the same as Greybeard's.

  6. Brigid,

Damn, you are good. Very close, but not quite:

    You Scored as Maximus

After his family was murdered by the evil emperor Commodus, the great Roman general Maximus went into hiding to avoid Commodus's assassins. He became a gladiator, hoping to dominate the colosseum in order to one day get the chance of killing Commodus. Maximus is valiant, courageous, and dedicated. He wants nothing more than the chance to avenge his family, but his temper often gets the better of him.

    Maximus 71%
    William Wallace 71%
    The Terminator 71%
    Captain Jack Sparrow 67%
    The Amazing Spider-Man 67%
    Batman, the Dark Knight 67%
    Neo, the "One" 54%
    Lara Croft 54%
    Indiana Jones 50%
    James Bond, Agent 007 42%
    El Zorro 21%

It was a tie, with the tie-breaking questions having to do with family. Mea culpa.

So, I'm the Italian action hero. Go figure.

    Fahgedaboudit!

    Spiderman
    and Zorro.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Maximus. Tie-breaker was family or kilt. Picked family, but as I'm Scot - Welsh - Danish - German, I have no problem wearing a kilt. And only a kilt. And maybe a t-shirt.

Bummer is, most of my favorite action heroes aren't on that list.
What about Paladin? Any of the Clint Eastwood characters? Sharpe? Jack Aubrey? Rooster Cogburn? Quigley? Samuel Spade?

    ReplyDelete
  35. Maybe I'm just babbling nonsense here, having never played the video games Lara Croft "stars" in, but I thought Angelina Jolie was carrying Desert Eagle movie guns in the Tomb Raider movies?

Though I'll admit *those* guns didn't have my full attention during the movies....

    -W

    ReplyDelete
  36. Bond, James Bond...

I suspected that but was hoping for Maximus or maybe William Wallace. I guess the guns and tech thing moved me out of that.

Nice clothes, good food, subtlety sometimes, confidence and irresistable to women....maybe my fantasies are taking hold.

Nah, I'm too old to live them out any more.

    ReplyDelete
  37. I tied -- James Bond and the Terminator. Whoa. I'm cool. =D

    ReplyDelete
  38. You're much too smart to be Laura Croft. Unfortunately(?), I can't go to quizfarm from school...

Neo is the computer hacker-turned-Messiah of the Matrix. He leads a small group of human rebels against the technology that controls them. Neo doubts his ability to lead but doesn't want to disappoint his friends. His goal is for a world where all men know the Truth and are free from the bonds of the Matrix.

    Cool :-)

    ReplyDelete
  45. Me too. :-)

I wore out my VHS (remember those) now I need to get the DVD. Same with my Heat and Goodfellas tapes.

  46. William Wallace (88 percent) here, then Maximus and Indiana Jones.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Bond.

  49. Thanks for the visit, Brigid, and your kind words.

That's Nashville's night skyline, taken from the Cumberland River Pedestrian Bridge, right after the Titans preseason game against the Rams last August. Which reminds me..I've got to swap that out for something more springlike. Maybe even a new template is in order. Spring cleaning and all of that..

    ReplyDelete
  50. I had a tie between Batman and Maximus. The quiz asked me to choose between family and a secret hideout. If I chose family, I was Maximus. If I choose hideout...

    Maximus
    79%
    Batman, the Dark Knight
    79%
    Captain Jack Sparrow
    67%
    Neo, the "One"
    67%
    Lara Croft
    63%

  51. You Scored as Maximus

    Maximus 83%
    William Wallace 71%
    James Bond, Agent 007 63%

Hmmm...that's interesting. Maximus, yes. Wallace, yes. But Bond??? Who'd a thunk it?

    ReplyDelete
  52. Most any Louis L'amour Good/Bad Guy. Porter in Payback. Han Solo - Han shot first. Sean Connery's 007.Jason Bourne. Maximus's Father. The Man Who Never Missed. Kato. Viking's in the 13th Warrior....

    ReplyDelete
  53. Batman - The Dark Knight was my result.

I find that very interesting since Batman has always been my favorite.

    Joe

    ReplyDelete
  54. For some reason the quiz won't let me past the first page so I don't know which one I am. Well, I know but...that would just me being vain so...I don't know.

    ReplyDelete
  55. I am so misunderstood...

It's not who I am underneath, but what I *do* that defines me.

You Scored as Batman, the Dark Knight

As the Dark Knight of Gotham, Batman is a vigilante who deals out his own brand of justice to the criminals and corrupt of the city. He follows his own code and is often misunderstood. He has few friends or allies, but finds comfort in his cause.

    Batman, the Dark Knight 88%
    William Wallace 88%
    Lara Croft 79%
    Maximus 75%
    Indiana Jones 75%
    The Amazing Spider-Man 71%
    Neo, the "One" 67%
    The Terminator 54%
    James Bond, Agent 007 54%
    El Zorro 46%
    Captain Jack Sparrow 46%

It ended with a tie breaker question that made me choose between wearing a kilt or a cool tool belt so The Dark Knight came out above William Wallace.
