Heading out tomorrow, Southwest, to avoid Belfast, then South. For today, one that had a light brisk wind, and some clouds and NO people anywhere. some photos from the shore.
I agree with Fenris... I'm jealous, but very happy you've gotten the chance to do this. At least I can live vicariously through your prose and pictures!
Wonderful photos. I'm enjoying your trip vicariously. Don't forget to try a bit of "potcheen" if you can get a hold of some (ask your B&B host)but not before driving or you may have a run in with the "gorda".

So envious of your trip. But you deserve every last second of it.
So glad to see you're enjoying your vacation.
You've earned it.
Great story and photos from the land of about 2/5ths of my Ancestors...The Gibsons, Feeleys, and others....
Thankx!
Whaaaaaa !!!
I wanna go see Ireland !!!
Seriously, Brigid. Beautiful photos. And I really am envious. Some day, though. Some day soon.
Whitepark bay...I've photgraphed the sun coming up on the summer solstice there a couple of times. (Hippy, me?) Harumph.
Head for Cork. Really.
Clew bay perhaps?
Home of the Pirate Queen Grania...

Thank you for allowing us to share your journey through your pictures...which are very nice, BTW!
The photos are gorgeous. Water and sky seems to work especially well in black and white.

The black & white gives these scenes a classic look. Subtler than color, with the shades and shadows. Lovely.
Looks like good divin' water.
Brigid, glad you're enjoying your trip to Northern Ireland. Any particular reason for avoiding Belfast?
If you have time, the scenery around the coast from Warrenpoint towards Kilkeel and Newcastle is nice.
