Home on the Range Dares Political Commentary

It's been some busy traveling lately, Minnesota, Washington, Colorado, Oregon, some foreign place, and now Texas!!!

Dinner tonight with Lawdog and Phlegmfatale, Holly and Expert Witness. As my sidekick sent via email "have fun and don't annoy the wait staff with your knives."

Interesting is it not, that the system we have is the best man could come up with thus far? I'm fairly sure that the fatal flaw lies in a quote I can't quite recall from one of the founders. It eluded to the idea that persons of noble character were the ones most fit to hold office and somehow we would just naturally pick them. And yet, your picture seems to sum up what we actually have with great clarity ;)

Are you sure that wasn't taken somewhere around the Senate Building in Washington?

Drat...you're in my neck of the woods and I don't get the chance to meet you. Curses and all that.

You've summed up the current state of political affairs with just two words. Have a good time & stay safe.

Dang, if I'd know, we'd have driven up and made it a bigger party.

Welcome to Texas. Last week we had the temps turned down a bit, but unfortunately, this week it's back to bake level. Have some good BBQ washed down with a Shiner Bock and be comfortable carrying reciprocally.

With all the Texans showing up (I are one too) I thought I'd throw this in.

You know your in Texas when the first cold front of the season drops the temps into the mid 90s!

I assume the Washington you visited was the lesser one, on the Least Coast, since you didn't check in here in the Frontiers of Seattle...
