You found me how??

I sometimes check my sitemeter to see how some people find my blog, be it from other bloggers, word searches, etc. I had 4 people come to Home on the Range with the Yahoo word search.

"combat aikido women"

Gosh, I wish I hadn't bought that bottle of Shōchū and a video camera.

It's aikido, not aikedo, you'd think the Googles would correct that.
Anyway, I've been reading your blog a while and "combat shooting women" might have made sense, I don't remember any aikido posts.

asm826 - typo corrected, but I have NO idea why those people were directed to my blog with that word search.

I guess it could have been worse. . "sexing a dwarf hamster" or "food that taste like lawn clippings" or something.

I've gotten some odd ones. Partial phrases that must be in my blog text somewhere but have an odd combination of common terms.

My blog is not cool enough to get anything like "food that taste like a dwarf hamster" or "sexing lawn clippings" though.

I'm still searching for meaning in the posts that I make. Deciding on what my content style will be. I hope that it doesn't degrade to lawn clippings...

I found you wonderful, and I know I'm one of many, just by reading your blog! Keep getting better.

wv: throp...the sound of you hitting me after reading this post.

For me it was following a link from a friends blog. Your blog quickly became my favorite read.

Are you selling copies of the video?

The curious mind ends up in various places and a combat woman with akimbo would drive the cat to less then nine lives.

Keep the words flowing and the river shall bend to itself and more pebbles will follow.

I don't comment on anything very often but had to here. I've been reading a few weeks now and don't remember how I found your blog. I probably clicked a link on one of the other 60 something blogs I read. But, never the less, I am now addicted. Had to move your link up to the top of the favorites list because it is one of the very few that is well written and captivating. Thank you!

ditto to Selous Scouts question lol

No, that couldn't have been me. I found you though the search "please, google gods, find at least one other female who finds Army of Darkness hilarious"...

Sometimes you can corner the market on goggle search words.

You are No#1 at "Brigid Guns".

So... where can I watch the video Selous Scout refers to??? : )

Been following you a long time, but I think it was Led Zeppelin in your profile.

Well thankfully, my original discovery search of "hot redheads with big guns" didn't show up in your stats. Ooops.

I read here often, and I've forgotten how I found it.

I'm not to worried about people who find my blog with weird searches--as long as they don't find my house!

Hello Brigid,
Found you via law dog.
Don't tell him I read your first.

Been lurkin' here a long time. From Tam I think.

Hey Brig, what CAN you do with lawn clippings? Can't wait to see that in one of your casseroles...lol.

Tam's sidebar... which got suggested by Google Reader.

Some really weird, circuitous series of internet searches and following stray links (probably started with something about concealed carry, but it could have been food-related, too). The phrase "Mausers and Muffins" caught my eye, the recipes sealed it.

Hi Brigid. I came over from Confederate Yankee after reading a post that left me scratching my head as it was like nothing I'd read on the site before. Then I saw the byline...

The really far out IP addresses (Estonia anyone?) or HTTP referrer fields in your site stats could be the result of someone using privacy shielding software and the Tor network.

I have the capability, but I find the web to be faster and easier on my sanity if I limit the security toys to an ad blocker and the router on my cable modem.

I followed a link from Armed Canadian (now dormant) and New Jovian while looking for blogs on firearms without posts on gun control.

Oleg Volk commented on sumpin' you wrote and I followed the link. That was nigh on two years ago.

Been hooked ever since....like a trout on a streamer.

I found you through Violent Indifference, and I must say I'm really enjoying your writing style, your observations, and your blog in general. Thanks so much for the pretty, pretty prose.

I found you via "Gene the Aggie"
AKA the "New Anglican Firearms Enthusiast" blog.

ASM826 said...

Oh, I thought it was the search engine's mistake and found it curious. Wouldn't have mentioned a spelling error otherwise.

Brigid said...

Old NFO - oh yeah, I know better.

We won't even mention the Alpaca and the bottle of tequila post Academy.

I usually get the people looking for that Samuel Johnson quote.
So...when are you going to post the video?
