Thought of the Day

You can't go around building
a better world for people.
Only people can build a better world for people.
Otherwise it's just a cage.
Terry Pratchett, "Witches Abroad"

Sgt. Waffle reporting Sir!

Put out an immediate Brigid alert!

Yes Sir! May I ask why?

Because we are crunchy and taste good with syrup.

Enjoy your waffles Brigid!

I don't believe in building better worlds for people. But I'll bend over backward to help them build a better world for themselves.

Excellent point... And very true.

I am an Architect.

This post is soooo incredibly true, and accurate, and has been thus since people started building things.

To respond somewhat to one reply, an historical method of joining materials together is to drive the square peg into the round hole--they are inherently different, yet complement and anchor each other.

Damn-this is getting too philosophical for our impending snow and ice storm--must go make Buffalo Mac & Cheese...............

I can only effect me.

I can only help you help yourself, but only if you are actively engaged in the process. You must also want to help yourself.

You can only effect you.

Perhaps people build walls around themselves so they have only as much freedom as they can understand.

"Who watches the watch? I do." - Amen. Thank you K.Erickson.

Same question can be asked:

"Who sparks or feeds the lights on the Liberty Tree?"

I do, you do, we all do... Lord, I see it every day. Smiles and joy and laughter, tempered with loss and grief, it is a dance.

Thanks for you, and your words, and your being.

I really liked what you wrote in the side bar titled "One Nation Under God." I made a post referencing it and linking to your blog if you don't mind.
