Looks like fun as long as it's not something that has to be up and running by Monday morning so you can go to work..... Working on motors = fun. Working on motors with a deadline = not so much fun.
Well it's not an aircraft engine I recognize and look's like it goes to a GM Big Block. So, has little red ridinghood gone and got her a go fast muscle car?If the answer is yes than you rock.
Auntie J - LOVE top gear. another of my favorite episodes, when they did the bit about what car to buy for a teenage boy which included the contest as to sneaking it into the driveway late at night without sending off the sound meters (stealing the remote from the stereo for one of the cars so it would come on full blast as he pushed it into the drive was priceless).
You guys are good. Not one person said a Pacer or a Gremlin. :-)
OMG! Ford modular V8, Possibly DOHC? Cobra Mustang? Lincoln Navigator? (turned wrenches for Uncle Henry in a former life) Please Oh Please do tell! What kinda toy are you playin with?
Looks like a kit for a Ford SOHC V8 to me. And not terribly old, more's the pity. I'm more of a classic Chevy fan, myself...but toys are toys, and we find our fun where we will. Whatever it is, have fun! :)
I would ask for your hand in matrimony, but that truck in the driveway wearing the sissy bowtie is kind f a deal breaker. ;) Although I could be persuaded, You know it is customary in some society, somewhere, that the bride-to-be gifts the prospective groom something significant to his chores as hunter and gatherer, such a new rifle and much ammo?
(I knowed dis ta be tru' cuz my cousin down near tha mason-dixon, done baut her pa's son's sister's uncle a new 30-06 when thay got hitched)
The suspense is drivin me nuts, pics are highly recommended also.
This is the new GM car. They are calling it the OBUMMER. Harry, Nancy, Joe, will have to drive it to work every day. Which side is the Potomic on? I have a dream.
A woman like you with poetry and humor in her soul, who likes guns, planes and big block motors is a rare and wonderful thing. That someone would try to compress that into the "standard model housewife" mold is astonishing, to say the least. Hope you find someone, someday, who appreciates you for who you are. Your blog is one of my very favorites and I hope it has a long future.

My girl is a mix. Love her to bits for being that way.
At least it has eight cylinders! Zoom Zoom!
I LIKE it!
MUCH faster? Did you get a new toy? If so, we need details and photos.
Have pictures of the project? Wouldn't be an old mopar would it? Look forward to pics. Take care.
Does this something have wings?

Are you souping up an airplane?
That looks to be a complete gasket and seal kit for a large V-8.
If that's for the Robin it'll be MUCH faster than your truck until you try to turn. :-D

Muscle car? The pic looks like a kit for a muscle car engine I saw online a few weeks back.
Please let it be a Pontiac GTO...

Shiny! The second picture, that is. I have no idea what the first picture is about...
Looks like a late model overhead cam V8. 3V Ford 4.6 maybe?
Super-charged? Pleeze? Cuz there's nothing like a little kick in the ass when you mash the accelerator!
Looks like someone is giving the top-end a work-over...

Ohhhhh, that was the show that got me hooked on Top Gear! I love that segment!

Even more extreme liquid cooling for the gaming PC?
Someone asked me about that topic last week, but I think I disappointed them when I responded "Buy Intel".
Oh... Engine rebuild time :-)

The kit is going to be used to fix the plane that Travis Haley and Chris Costa messed up because of a bad preflight check.

Somehow I just can't see you as the MK1 MOD0 housewife. I'll bet you'd make a heck of a lab partner though.
Terminator? Or something that carries that engine or 5.4 cousin?
