On Pondering

I'm taking a day off from the world tomorrow, at least until the Bat Phone goes off, with some books and quiet sunlight. There will be a saved post for tomorrow night, but for now, I'll leave you with a wish for a day with someone who loves you and a few quotes.

The Brain: Pinky, are you pondering what I'm pondering?
Pinky: I think so Brain, but if you replace the P with an O, my name would be Oinky, wouldn't it?

The Brain: Pinky, are you pondering what I'm pondering?
Pinky: I think so, Brain, but then it'd be Snow White and the Seven Samurai...

The Brain: Pinky, are you pondering what I'm pondering?
Pinky: I think so, Brain, but how are we going to make pencils that taste like bacon
?

dakotared - welcome and thank you. I needed that, been a tough week in the field and too quiet of evenings.

Murphy's Law - I'll loan you the Pinky and the Brain video if you want, as long as Murphy doesn't eat them (they have great sentimental value).

North - I will, been a couple of LONG days. But I have a job, for that I am grateful every single day.

In my humble opinion, Pinky and the Brain were the last of the truly classic cartoons.

I'm (in)famous for a few bad impressions, but the Brain (Orson Welles) eludes me.
Take good care!

My favorite one was...

I think so Brain, but how are we going to get the gorillas into the pink tutus?

Ya just have to wonder what Pinky was thinking.

Pinky: I think so Brain, but Zero Mostel times anything will still give you Zero Mostel.

Pinky and the Brain - I loved that show.

Have a restful Friday!

Unfortunately, most of the Pinky and the Brain videos at the public library have been loved to pieces. Looked into buying some DVDs for our personal library, but they're very pricey.

(It is simply a matter of snobbishness that the public library chooses to allocate funds by ordering stuff like masterpiece theatre shows in the format of lords & ladies behaving like bastards and tarts in Victorian fancy dress rather than a truly popular and "educational" classic like Pinky and the Brain.)

"It's PInky, Pinky and the Brain, Brain, Brain, brain.... Naarf!

A good book, perhaps an adult beverage or two and a furry friend on a sunny day. Sounds like a little slice of heaven.

Pinky and the Brain FTW. I also liked Good Idea/Bad Idea:

Good Idea: Feeding stray kittens in the park.

Bad Idea: Feeding stray kittens in the park to a bear.

Enjoy your day!

The Brain: Pinky, are you pondering what I'm pondering?

Pinky: I think so Brain, I don't know what to do either on this short-gripped, compact pistol... so I'll just hang loose 'till I figure it out.

No guns in my post,but.......Just to share with you folks, i have a new post today on Amish Stories from the Terre Hill days even that was just held in Lancaster Pennsylvania. It was a very hot day but i was able to get i think a few good images from this event. The town is populated with a mix of Amish and old order Mennonites which only adds to its charm. They even have what has become famous in Terre Hill their "outhouse race". The town sits on a hill so it overlooks Lancaster farmland in almost all directions. This is one of my favorite towns to visit because its free from commercialism, so if you are looking for a really all American kind of town with the added bonus of seeing its Amish and Mennonite residents at work and play, then this town is for you. Thanks folks. Richard from Amish Stories.

Pinky: I think so, Brain, but where are we going to find a rubber chicken at this time of night?

Ah yes, books.....I was recently gifted the set, "A Song Of Fire And Ice", by George R.R. Martin.

Didn't see the series on HBO 'cause I really do not do television.

But books, now.....has me mesmerized. Bad thing to happen during excellent weather.

Feeling a bit medieval this morning.

Ponderous.

I'm pondering Monster Hunter: Alpha. I think this is the book where I am horribly killed by werewolves (I jumped at the chance to be red-shirted in a Correia book).

Hope you have a great day!

Raptor, I'm sorry but Tom Holt beat you to "Snow White and the Seven Samurai back in 1999.
There might be some interest in a T-Shirt with Snow White and the Seven Samurai, though.
