I hope all stays well up there.Winds here and cold front coming. I assume Barkley is not equipped with a Cox .049 engine right? If so he can take a finger off while you attempt to start him!
Keep your head down, friend, and make sure Barkley's lead is dogged down good & tight.
Boy... that brings back memories... flying Cox engine powered line-controled P-51D Mustangs and other balsa wood model aircraft...Be safe Brigid and Barkley...Dann in Ohio
Winds are in the light to heavy cattle range here too. Hubby blocked the attic gable end vents yesterday so that we don't have to shovel inside as well.Do you have lots of snow there too? It is good that Barkley is black; it is more difficult to lose him in a snowbank that way.
You guys stay warm and toasty. We'll be thinking about you.
The winds have been pretty wicked down here. Stay safe up there!
Is this how blind folks take their dogs sky diving?gfa
Nasty, my arse.Where's my frakking snow!?!?!?!?
Cold & windy here...N of Redding I5 closed because of snow on the passes, mixed with flurries of bad drivers. Hope the deliverer of presents driver gets thru... Stay warm & dry!
Sunny and cool here.Kali does have it's moments.Wish I had a Lab sleeping on my feet.Who loves ya kid?
I used to get SOOOOO dizzy flying my Cox airplanes.
Wishing you the best there. Stay in and stay safe.
This is a good night to take an "abbreviated flight" with your dog. Stay safe !
The power was still on this a.m. a concern with such high winds but the snow is only about 2-3 inches. Off to work!I chuckled at the airplane comments. My first RC , when I was in grade school, was one of those little 2 servo (I think) ones, that would break apart when you crashed it. I painted it light blue. No stripes. It took off "Weeeeeeeeeee" There is goes. "Weeeeeeeeeeeee" Where IS it? Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee" Damn!" WeeeeeeeeSPLAT" When rebuilt it got a bright stripe so I could actually SEE itr,
Saw the weather forecast and pics online - We have clear skies and colder weather in Kandahar.Glad you are able to hunker down (other than Sir Barkley's need to visit outside)A white Christmas will be had by many across your neck of the woods." God Bless Us, everone! " - Tiny Tim
Thank you for the wonderful mental imagery this morning Brigid :) I hope you have a very Merry Christmas.
"Drop the cargo load" is my new favorite euphemism for taking a crap.
"Touch and go" drill might describe a surreptitious poop on an obnoxious neighbor's lawn.
Borepatch - thank you for proving that one indeed can snort Jamison out one's nose in a room with several "holiday scented" candles, without causing thermal burn injuries.
I started this blog so the child I gave up for adoption could get to know me, and in turn, her children, as well as share stories for a family that lives too far away. So please keep it friendly, kid safe, and open to discussion, not criticism. This is my home. You can live in yours as you wish, but this is my place.Enjoy your time here and I hope you come away with good thoughts and memories.
