Black Labs and Fireflies

I still miss him, remembering as the last of the snow melts. Oh, how Barkley loved to play in the snow. But I can only think of these words, and smile.

May have been the losing side.
Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

  1. Some memories will always be with you. Remember the good ones!

  2. Edited for appropriate gender:

"Woman walks down the street in that hat, people know she's not afraid of anything."

You know, your coat is kind of a brownish color...

  3. Brigid,

I have always enjoyed my visits to your blog. Between your wonderful recipes, charming anecdotes, and moving prose, my visits are always good. Thanks for all you do and share. May your heart heal.

  4. Sorry, but that hat doesn't work for a red head.

  5. Old NFO - I will.

stlview - why indeed it IS brown

jocostello - thanks, it's a tough time-- the anniversary of both losing Barkley and my brother, so the kindness is appreciated.

  6. OK...honestly I have no idea what or how to say something here. I've deleted a few other attempts. Please know that I'm praying for the load on your heart to lighten.

  7. Thinking of you guys down there... Be safe.

I started this blog so the child I gave up for adoption could get to know me, and in turn, her children, as well as share stories for a family that lives too far away. So please keep it friendly and kid safe. Posts that are only a link or include an ad for an unknown business automatically to to SPAM..
