  1. Shouldn't it be investigate BEFORE you judge?

    1. I think the implication was if you're going to judge, investigate first, but the way it's worded. I get it.

  5. That picture appears to be a small Fresnel lens used in lighthouses! We used to have the biggest one on the East coast until the US CG went with bulbs! They use to rotate on a bed of mercury to get rid of friction. We finally got our lens back from the USCG and it now sits in the museum in the old North Light on Block Island RI.

    1. Good eye, my friend. The photo was taken with my little snap and shoot at at the Astoria Maritime Museum. It's a short drive from Dad's so I visit it at least once a year.

I started this blog so the child I gave up for adoption could get to know me, and in turn, her children, as well as share stories for a family that lives too far away. So please keep it friendly and kid safe. Posts that are only a link or include an ad for an unknown business automatically to to SPAM..
