Scotch Night

Of course the Scotch night where friends sampled this was the week I got suddenly sick with a horrible head cold/flu thing and didn't even hear about it til later.

But for future Scotch nights with friends and family - some quotes.

    Back in the day I drank Bell's Royal 20 year old whiskey. It apparently is not commonly imported these days, which doesn't hurt as much as expected. Mr doctor has informed me that drinking is now very bad for my health, and a gun would be much quicker, but no more positive. Well, damn!!!

    A fun coffee table book to acquire on the subject of Scotch is Still Life With Bottle: Whisky According To Ralph Steadman by artist Ralph Steadman, the frequent illustrator of the late gonzo journalist Hunter S. Thompson's books. It's funny, entertaining, shocking, and you'll learn a lot about Scotch when reading it.
