Depending on how big the dogs head is. Here is an idea for a cheap toy. Get a pumpkin shaped candy collector that kids use to hold candy when trick or treating. Remove the handle and put a treat in it. If she can't reach it, she'll have to bat it around until the treat falls out.
ReplyDeleteSpend eye-bleeding amount on new cat tower; unpack said cat tower; cat promptly climbs into box and spends the next 48 hours transfixed by new toy:)
ReplyDeleteTheir retrieving instincts are so strong. If she can manage that trash can, dog paddling a 12 lb Canada Goose would be a cinch.
ReplyDeleteWith her bowed front legs the Vet said she'd not be a "working dog", but she's doing fine playing in the yard to her heart's content.

ReplyDeleteWe weren't planning on it with Lorelei being sick but the rescue place had her and knew we had the elevator set up for Lorelei which Sunny could use if her leg abnormality resulted in her having some stair issues (she doesn't). So she's here and we're so glad we got her. Lorelei loved the company those last weeks of her life.
