The batphone rang in the wee hours, so while I'm busy, I'll have a few short posts over the next couple of days. . .When I decided to downsize it felt great to get rid of old furniture, beat up lamps and knick knacks I didn't need. But getting the closests organized in a smaller home took a litle more work. Over the Thanksgiving holiday my favorite engineer helped me get the last of the stuff out of storage, wrestling my boxes of Christmas ornaments into one of the closets.
He recently redesigned his bedroom closet to accomodate clothes, with a very large gun safe set up. I said "I wonder if I need to do something like that".
Having seen my closet he sent me this.
That pretty much covers it :-)

I love that drawing! It does seem to cover all the basics, too. But where do you keep the backup Batplane?
Paul - Budget cuts. It's Balsa Wood and your dentist will give you one if you're good during your checkup.
Ha! Except for the girlie parts it seems to replicate the "His and His" closet arrangement here. Well except for one little red dress. I don't think she is coming back for it. Must have been something I said! Off to Goodwill!
That's great!
Reminds me of the closet in our 'spare' bedroom I share with Mrs. drjim!
Hope work goes as well as possible, considering what it is.
Nice big, modern closet! Looks like there is plenty of room for gun stuff. We are experiencing closet envy.
Having an old house that was built in 1875 when people were happy to have one pair of shoes and one change of clothes, closets in the 1939 "remodel" were still a bit of an afterthought. The entire house has only 4 closets, and only two of them are in the bedrooms. If you don't mind if the stuff freezes in the winter and roasts in the summer, the attic has plenty of storage space.
Oh, now I remember what I said! "Get out you tofu eating hippie Wiccan". A friend remarked yesterday that he is astounded that I attract such females. Says I must have a "weird magnet" in my body that does it. He may be right.
Excellent drawing! Much better organized than mine.
What? No skeletons?
aaahhh...great drawing...I'm still LOL about Joan of Argghh's comment...it's been a long day...thanks for the laughter
The dress to rifle ratio is a tad higher than I expected. :)
@Joan of Argghh! - silly goose, with her secret squirrel skills, even 'Bones' couldn't find them!
Joan wins the internets!
I got about 3 hours sleep, so will say goodnight, but thanks for all the comments. Barkley, I understand from my friends who watched him while I worked, is feeling much better.
"Ghillie suit: It's there, you just can't see it." I LOL'd.
LOVE!! That is SO you. And nicely rendered, too. You have the most interesting friends!!
(Joan, you are awful good...)
And at least the little black dress is, uh.....black...
I like it; it looks like something Zeke would put together.
BobG - the man is clever, and that's an understatement.
LauraB - I know how lucky I am.
