I think we have similar tastes in rifles though you probably shoot them more than I do.
Now that's what I'm talking about!
I would be happy to store some of them for you, just send the ones you do not have room for, I will put them in my safe. OH send ammo for them so I send a bullet down the bore to blow out any cobwebs!
Enfield 1/mkIIIEnfield 4 mkIGarandTC Encore30-30 Looks like MarlinEnfield P14 or Mod. 1917K31 Swissand one I just can't ID from the pic.Pistols: Glock, a TC pistol, and 3 large bore wheelguns. If this is filling your gunsafe, you definitely need a bigger safe! That makes room to buy more rifles!
Bragging or complaining?
Make sure you get lights inside the safe. Monkeywrangler and I have found that if it's dark in there the safe contents get together and breed. There have been times I've opened the safe and found something new. When I asked Monkeywrangler about it she had this look of pure innocence on her face.
Very nice! I admit I'm short on long guns. I'm envious!
.....but who NEEDS so many guns? The police will protect you.....
MW, I believe the Marlin 30-30 is actually a Marlin 1894, probably in .357, or perhaps .44 or .45 Colt. In my experience, it's a brilliant little carbine: reliable, light, hard hitting and VERY accurate. Through eminent domain, the wife appropriated mine for Cowboy Shooting; putting on a pink leather butt cover and lever wrap so I'd never be tempted to shoot it again. I see a surprising lack of Evil Black Rifles in the collection. They have all the obvious advantages, as well as being meat and potatoes for a shade tree engineer. I avoided EBR Disease for many years, the onset all the worse for the delay. Now I haunt AlGore's back alleys for the latest calibers, sights, accessory, or wiz-bang gimcracks to complete a build that never seems to be actually finished. ;)
No such things as too many guns , just not enough safe capacity.
Uno Mas -That's just the spring collection that doesn't fit. The EBRs are probably part of the collection for one of the other seasons.
Sunnybrook Farm - this last year, the trips have been base proficiency only. Life sort of interrupted.Lois - :-)old okie - thanks for the offer, but I still have a safe at the crash pad that can store the spilloverMonkeywrangler - You have a good eye. I believe there's a Short Magazine Lee Enfield, M1917, Swiss K31, M1 Garand, 44 Marlin Carbine, Thompson Center Contender, Lee Enfield, Remington Auto, Pistols are Glock 21, Ruger Super Blackhawk (there's a Range review of that in the archives), regular Blackhawk. Obviously, none of these are the concealed pieces, nor the IND evil black gun collection, that's a whole other safe :-)Differ - The one time someone called the police because they thought I'd met with mischief (Barkley collision, fall, and broken phone), it took them 18 minutes to get there and I lived a mile from a station. By then the bad guys could have had their fun with me and cleaned out the place.Ed - OK, bragging a little :-)mjrb- you'd had to remove the whole room to get the safe out, and we're glad it is there.PPPP - so true :-)I need to get a nap as I go on call in a couple of hours, but thanks for the smiles.
I started this blog so the child I gave up for adoption could get to know me, and in turn, her children, as well as share stories for a family that lives too far away. So please keep it friendly and kid safe. Posts that are only a link or include an ad for an unknown business automatically to to SPAM..
