The Difference Between Men and Women

I'm fortunate in that the people I spend my time with, male or female, tend to like to play with the same toys I do. Tools, cars, trains, planes, tractors and large caliber firearms. I'm not one for "playing it safe".

In the shop. . .

or in the kitchen.

Men and women can be more alike than some people think (no thank you, I do NOT want a pink gun in .22) though there are still those differences that make it interesting. (click to enlarge)

Men:

WOMEN: (look carefully at the display screen)

I think that about covers it.

But for the differences that do exist, there is one thing that men and women will always agree on when they put their heads together in the kitchen:

Deep Dish Peach Cobbler with Caramel Cream Sauce

  1. Ha. That made me laugh. I agree with the final premise. I cannot imagine anyone arguing against that and if you do you're a Communist. :)

  2. I studied the woman display quite intently and have a couple of comments.
    1. More offs than ons = true
    2. They left off a P
    3. Display is monochrome, women are not

Also the man control should be food, not just sandwich.

  4. You've covered the topic well. Got my bowl ready for the cobbler, too.

  5. Unfortunately, peaches are out of season at the moment. Do you have any common ground recipes that work in the winter too?

Mrs. S. - I've used home canned with this and it's good, but yes hard to find them anywhere now.

This recipe is also EXCELLENT with apples but omit the orange juice, just the lemon juice and a couple splashes of water and maybe 1 teaspoon cornstarch (as you won't have as much liquid). The deep dish cobbler crust works with about anything though

  7. Mrs. S,
When peaches are in season, freeze a bunch, they'll brighten up a dreary NW March day. Cherries too.

  8. That looks so yummy. Perhaps we'll bake a cobbler together when we get home. Ah, yes, home....
