A Question From the Law Abiding

Why is it people don't demand I turn in my vehicle because someone else  made the bad choice to drive drunk outside of the law and kill an innocent?

But the same people want me to turn in my gun because someone else made the bad choice to use one outside of the law to kill an innocent.

  1. The logic will escape the anti-gunners and hoplophobes, of course.

  2. My father started me with firearms when I was about seven years old and I have never gave them up, I have carried one off and on for fifty years sometimes legal some times not. I have never killed or injured anyone nor has any of my firearms ever fired them self but how about these deaths!!
In 2010, the Office of Inspector General for the Department of Health and Human Services said that bad hospital care contributed to the deaths of 180,000 patients in Medicare alone in a given year.

(Now comes a study in the current issue of the Journal of Patient Safety that says the numbers may be much higher — between 210,000 and 440,000 patients each year who go to the hospital for care suffer some type of preventable harm that contributes to their death). Remember Doctors and Nurses are "Licensed". And they wante to take my firearms???

  3. Because it's just a step toward your subjugation.
    And that is their goal.

  4. Maybe it is due to tradition harkening back to the old west where horse stealing was a hanging offense but sheriff's could demand town's be "gun-free" zones?

Today, everyone needs a car but popular thinking is not everyone needs a gun. Maybe because guns are smaller and easier?? to confiscate?

I personally think the laws on the books simply need to be enforced. It is like saying that because someone angry at their spouse decides to feed them rat poison causes rat poison to be banned from sale anywhere. Or worse, PETA succeeds in claiming that poisoning the rodents is cruel and inhumane! Maybe to politicians and such.

But guns are more a symbol of a way of life and a way of thinking and that is really what is under attack. Personal freedom, independence and responsibility. You should put your life in the hands of the government, don't you know! Come on! Get with the program!

  5. I'm sure, after we turn in our firearms, we'll all be riding bicycles -- with helmets and pads on our way to the store for our weekly allocation of vegan foodstuff carefully calculated to replace just the amount of calories we have managed to burn off.

    Freedom is so overrated.

  8. Thinking: A skill lost through decades of carefully orchestrated "education". This worked in the Prussian system so well that it was imported to the US over a hundred years ago.

  11. My guns have never been involved in any illegal actions. Taking away my guns will not save even one life.

  12. Thanks This is such a pop-up!

If liberals (Democrats) don't like something, they OUTLAW it. Be it guns, tall diet cokes, transfatty french fries, or using coal plants to make our electricity, etc.

Conservatives simply say, if you don't like guns, don't use them.
If you think french fries or tall cokes are bad for you - then DON"T EAT THEM. In other words, make your own choices and leave everyone else alone.

  13. You're assuming that a rational cause-effect / direct relationship kind of thinking is used by the other side.

  14. I can tell you exactly what the response to that comparison would be.
Turn the volume up to 11 and "say" "That's different!"
What my SIL can't do with logic she more than makes up for with volume.
